About Bestowed Essentials

↠ Where does the name "Bestowed Essentials" come from?
The name Bestowed Essentials was chosen to reflect our use of Mother Earth’s natural gifts in our products. We believe that taking care of yourself, both mentally and physically, is absolutely essential in life. The word “Bestowed” is also a nod to our commitment to charity - for every order you place, we donate 10% of it to providing clean drinking water around the globe.

Our certified vegan + cruelty-free products are made with all-natural ingredients in recyclable or compostable packaging. And all products are made in Rapid City, South Dakota!
↠ Why make vegan + cruelty free goods?
Avoiding the consumption of animal products is one of the most effective ways you can take a stand against animal cruelty and animal exploitation everywhere. Going vegan is also one of the best things an individual can do to lower their carbon footprint. Veganism is scientifically proven to improve your physical and mental health, decrease pollution and deforestation, and save water.
↠ How does Bestowed Essentials embody its eco-friendly values?
The Bestowed Essentials studio is powered by solar energy. Our packaging is plastic-free and 100% recyclable or compostable. Our shipping labels are printed with a low-energy thermal heat printer. We only use vegan ingredients, which helps to conserve water + reduce deforestation. The cardboard boxes + shipping tape we use to send out orders are 100% biodegradable. We request minimal plastic packaging + shipping materials from our vendors as much as possible, and reuse or properly recycle any plastic shipping materials we do inevitably receive.

Product Information

↠ Bath Soaks
Note: our Bath Soaks do include flower petals, so we advise using a drain catcher in your bathtub to avoid clogging the drain. Post-Use: the Bath Soaks bags are compostable, please remove + discard information label before composting the bag.
↠ Soap
Directions: avoid leaving soap in the stream of water if used in the shower. Store soap on our wodden soap dish so that it can stay dry between uses. If you don't, it will greatly decrease the life of your soap. Note: remember, a little goes a long way! These soaps can lather up quite well, but you don't need to be covered in suds to get clean. Post-Use: please recycle the cardboard soap box.
↠ Face Toner
Note: apply to skin with reusable cotton cloths instead of disposable cotton pads for a more eco-friendly option. Post-Use: please reuse or recycle the glass Face Toner bottle.
↠ Face Mask
Directions: mix a small amount of powder with the liquid of your choice, either in your clean palm or in a small bowl. Use a clean makeup or mask brush or clean fingers to gently run into skin in a circular motion. Rinse immediately or allow to dry for 10-15 minutes before rinsing for a deeper cleanse. Note: some ingredients may stain fabrics. Rinse sink after masking. Post-Use: please reuse or recycle the glass bottle.
↠ Tooth Powder
Directions: use 2-3 times daily with our bamboo toothbrush. Dip damp toothbrush into jar for a very light coating of powder. Brush teeth in a gentle circular motion, and be sure to also brush gums, tongue + the roof of your mouth. Rinse your mouth, brush + sink after using. Don't forget to floss too! Note: some dentists or armchair dentists claim that baking soda is too abrasive for your teeth. Please note that many common brands of toothpaste contain baking soda (also known as sodium bicarbonate), and baking soda is, in fact, rated as a 7 on the Relative Dentin Abrasion Scale, which is significantly lower than even commerical toothpaste brands for sensitive teeth + gums. However, it is important (and legally necessary) to note that I am not a dentist or medical practitioner, so please consult with your dentist if you have any concerns. Post-Use: please recycle the glass jar and compost the cork topper.

↠ What payment options are available?
Through our secure checkout page, we accept all major credit cards (including Visa, Mastercard and American Express), Paypal, and on certain Apple devices, Apple Pay. Credit card payments are securely processed through Stripe, an international payment processing company. Bestowed Essentials does not see or store your payment information.
↠ Is my credit card information secure?
Bestowed Essentials uses encryption technology provided by Shopify to transmit your information. To verify that your connection is safe, look for the closed lock icon in your browser window.
↠ How will you use my email address?
If you provide us with your e-mail address, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information when we ship your order. You will also receive email newsletters and sale notices from time to time. If you do not wish to receive our newsletter or sale notices, you can opt out at anytime. You will still receive shipping confirmation emails whenever you order. Bestowed Essentials never shares or spams your email address.


↠ What shipping options are available?
Orders ship via United States Postal Service (USPS). Depending on order size / weight, you may choose from First-Class, Parcel Select, Priority (which includes Flat-Rate Shipping), or Priority Express. USPS may transfer domestic packages to other shipping companies (ie UPS or Fedex) in certain delivery zones. For international orders, your package will be transfered to your country's postal service after passing through customs. You will still be able to track your package with the original tracking number emailed to you.
↠ How do I get free shipping?
To qualify for free shipping, your order total must reach $30 before taxes or shipping charges and after any discount codes. The delivery address must also be within the United States to get free shipping. No code is necessary, it will automatically be applied to qualifying carts. If you have met these requirements but the free shipping option is not showing up, please contact us at hello@bestowedessentials.com. Please note that wholesale orders over $100 do not qualify for free shipping.
↠ How long until I receive my items?
Depending on the shipping method you select, domestic orders may take 2-7 business days to arrive. International orders may take up to 4-6 weeks to arrive, depending on your location and custom regulations. Shipping estimates are provided at checkout.
↠ What materials are used to ship orders?
Orders are shipped in recycled cardboard boxes, often reused from a vendor shipment. They are filled with 100% post-consumer recyled white crinkle paper. Some large wholesale orders may contain bubble wrap or air pockets - we NEVER purchase these items ourselves, unfortunately we sometimes receive them from our own vendors, and are attempting to use them again before they end up in a landfill. We encourage our customers to reuse / properly recycle all packaging and shipping materials. Wholesale customers can, and should, request no plastic shipping materials if they do not have the means to properly recycle them. Retail customers will never receive plastic shipping materials. We are actively working with our vendors to discontinue the use of plastic shipping materials, and for those which we receive and cannot reuse ourselves, we recycle via UPS or Terracycle.

Returns / Exchanges / Cancellation

We have a 100% money back guarantee. If you aren’t satisfied for any reason, please contact us with your concern, and we will send you a replacement or issue a refund.
↠ How do I return or exchange an item?
We are extremely sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your order. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you are not pleased for any reason, please email us at hello@bestowedessentials.com regarding the matter and we will do our best to correct the issue. Refunds will be applied only to the original method of payment, and may take up to 5 business days to appear on your bank statement.
↠ How do I cancel an order?
If you would like to cancel your order, please email us at hello@bestowedessentials.com within 24 hrs of placing your order for a full cancellation and refund. After that 24 hr timeframe has passed, because we may have already shipped your order, we will be unable to refund the shipping cost, and item costs will be refunded on a case-by-case basis.
